Best Burgers

Rated this place:

Hero Burgers is definitely one of the best places to grab a burger in the city. The burgers and fries are great and not too greasy which is always a plus. They offer seven different types of cheese as well as other toppings including guacamole and roasted peppers. The service is friendly and fast which makes it a great place to stop for a quick lunch.

Rated this place:

Quality meat, great toppings like Shiitake mushrooms and marinated eggplant, and an excellent special sauce combine to make the perfect burger. The fries are also very good.

Heroic? I Dunno

Rated this place:

To be sure: what's certified here is 100% Angus Beef. What's heroic here, well, I'm not sure. It's a good burger, sure, but it's really nothing special. And it's definitely not worth the price. The burger comes in 4oz to 8oz patty-size with a variety of toppings, such as smoked provolone, Canadian cheddar, avocado, coleslaw, sauteed mushrooms, baked zucchini. Amongst other offerings, they have a fair poutine. But even that is nothing extraordinary. I grew up in a French Canadian town on the Quebec border, where poutine is like water, so I know poutine. Anyway, this joint's worth a try - it's far better than McDs - but there's better food for the buck elsewhere.

Cheeseburger

Rated this place:

Because it is a chain, but they make the food when you order it and put whatever kooky stuff I want on my burger.

Burger

Rated this place:

They use gourmet ingredients and have quite the variety of free toppings to pile on to your burger and sesame/poppy seed bun. The location at Queen & Palmerston is open late which is great when you've had a bit too much to drink at one of the nearby bars.
