Exploring our new home

Rated this place:

Spent a great day shopping at Ikea where I started budgeting and planning for my future home. The prices are great and the decorative models gives inspiration to our future kitchen, living and bedrooms. I also took the opportunity to eat at their restaurants which was an absolute deal!

Throw me a Rug!

Rated this place:

Ikea is great for home decor on a budget because you can find many items to suit any mood of decor: classic, minimalist, eccentric you name it. I think one of the best things about Ikea is their textiles and rugs department. All the visuals in that one area are inspiring and you can design a whole room around one eye-catching rug or a metre of fabric (that you will eventually make drapes out of or reupholster a chair with). If you happen to be a seamstress or a real good DIY'er, then definitely check out their fabrics which are colorful and graphic.

I like ikea furniture.... I have since I was a kid.. not very sturdy... won't last you forever if your actually gonna use it... but it's affordable and fun until you get some extra cash to buy some real furniture...!

Furniture store

Rated this place:

It's a great place to spend a Saturday when you only have $2 in your pocket. You can go to Ikea, pretend you live in 1 of 25 beautifully furnished "apartments" for a few hours, make a wish list (for better times), and get a hot dog and a drink. It's almost as exciting as a day at Canada's Wonderland for people on a very limited budget. ALMOST.
