Who knew bones were so yummy?

Rated this place:

I've only ever had the pork bone soup here, so I can't comment on anything else, except to say that it's hard to get a seat here; make sure you come early. But onto the soup: pork slips off the bone into the (quite) spicy stew in a splash of uber-deliciousness. Don't be afraid to pick up the bones with your fingers and suck all the goodness out of them. Too good for words.

Korean food

Rated this place:

They have real authentic Korean food, and it's REALLY cheap as well. Had the bi bim bap at the First Markham location - really delicious. The kamjatang at the Yonge and Finch location is AMAZING (and it's opened 24 hours too!) People there are amazingly nice as well!

For the price you pay the quality is very very good. One of the best places to get pork bone soup. Period.

Korean food

Rated this place:

Open 24 hours!! - Hence, the nite owl I think... This is truly the main draw of this place. Just finish clubbing at 3am and feel like Korean food? Live uptown and don't want to stay downtown to eat? No Problem - the Owl is open!! The food tastes ok, place is similiar to what other Korean restaurants charge I think.

Pork bone soup

Rated this place:

Owl of Minerva

It's the real deal. 24 hours a day, cooks at this quirkily named place serve up bowls and bowls of piping hot, spicy soup that is made with real pork bones. The service may be lightning quick, but there's no instant soup powder in the soup. For only $5.99, each bowl of kamjatang comes with a suprisingly large pile of meaty bones. Fellow geeks will appreciate the sign featuring a wise Omma who is not showing off a book of mythology or one of Hegel's works, but a bowl of yummy kamjatang.
