Caveat! Not only did I work at the Snail, I dated the manager for several years. Overtime and heartache aside, the Snail is a landmark and a paradise for comic & toy lovers. It's Nerdvana. Want to buy Iron Man's helmet? A CGC copy of Spider Man #1? The Knives of Legolas? A lightsaber? JTHM? Muppet toys? Ugly dolls? The Snail provides. Canadian to the bone, run by the Van Leeuwens for over 30 years, it's a Queen Street legend. The staff and managers know comics. Essential pilgrimage for geeks

A great location to pick up your weekly/monthly comics. Knowledgable staffs and a decent selection of figures, vinyls (kidrobot!), toys, and collectibles. Manga collection is great but I still feel like it's a "boy" comic store ^_^; because there's not lots of girly or cute figures displayed. Still fun to look around. Small collection of Pullip and Blythe collection, if you want a specific doll, staff may be able to help you.

The mecca for anything pop culture related in Toronto... it has the most diverse selection of comics and toys you'll find. Great way to kill an hour to browse through all the comics, toys and collectibles that they offer.

Whether it's Indiana Jones, Princess Leia or Hellboy, the Silver Snail always has the most impressive window displays with life-size statues and elaborate backgrounds. I hope they're paying a pretty penny to the guy who designs their displays!

Silver Snail is legendary. It has everything you could ever possibly want from every single denomination of comicdom (anime, manga, American comics, artsy vinyl figures...)
