My family and I have been going to one of the lower ground Chinese restaurants (Hua Sang) for years and recently my boyfriend and I tried the Indian restaurant there as well. We were torn between there and the Thai place next door. Everything is super reasonable in pricing!

Quiet street downtown

Its like a completely different world. you go from the heart of china town to a secluded and quiet street with quaint residences and great cafes and nooks, simply by turning a corner. baldwin st. runs from queen st. to mccaul, a bit south of college. it's a wonderful part of the city.
