If you're looking for a unique spa experience you have to give Body Blitz - Health by Water a try. After receiving recommendations from a friend I celebrated my birthday at this spa with a few of my girlfriends and we had a greattt time. For the critics disappointed that this is a women-only spa there are many spas that offer co-ed services; unfortunately nothing that compares to this water spa though. And yes, it's true there a women who feel free and are welcome to walk in the nude. If would prefer not to be in such as setting, that's your choice. If you decide to check this place out (despite being uncomfortable), go to relax, meditate and enjoy the services provided rest assured you'll have no regrets. /tw

The Body Blitz concept is great - water therapy, saltwater pools, scrubs, saunas; overall a fantastic idea. HOWEVER Body Blitz needs to get with the times - men enjoy spa experiences and are willing to invest in well run spa facilities. It wouldn't take too much for Body Blitz Spa to make one day a week for men or day or two with a 3-4 hour block available for men to use the facilities. Until they open time for men to purchase services and use the amenities I will remain VERY disappointed.

My friends are totally obsessed with Body Blitz and have regular girls nights where they go and hang out in the different pools and drink juice. I totally didn't get it until I went. And now I am converted. I think a mother's day soak in the: ~ warm sea salt pool ~ hot green tea pool ~ cold plunging pool ~ aromatherapy steam room ~ infrared sauna ~ showersfor a good 2-3 hours with friends combined with some chocolate, tea or juice would be pretty darn perfect.

Simply divine! This is a water spa just for women. They have a 38 ft. sea salt pool, hot green tea pool, cold plunging pool, aromatherapy steam, infrared sauna, and 20 treatment rooms! Hydrotherapy is incredible for your body and ranks up there with healthy eating. It is the place to have time to yourself, or get some friends together for an afternoon. They also offer body treatments including massage. I like to go on Tuesday’s when it’s $10 off the regular price. The perfect city getaway to recharge.

Don't wear silver jewellery!

I went with a group of my family & friends today & as always, had a wonderful time. However, all of our silver jewellery became tarnished in the salt-water pool! Between us, we've been there at least a dozen times, and this is the first time that this has happened (& we're all wearing the same silver jewellery we've worn for 20+ years). When we complained at the desk & asked them what they are doing differently with chemicals in the water, we got 'attitude' and insistence that nothing has changed instead of at minimum, an 'i'm sorry that this happened to you'. A very disappointing end to the visit!

Body Blitz is an oasis in the midst of an unforgiving concrete jungle. Ok, maybe that sounds a bit dramatic but the contrast between the bliss inside and the regular mayhem outside is clear. When you arrive at body blitz you check in at the counter, they ask if you would like a smoothy while you are in "the waters" before they usher you through the door to bliss. The design inside is lovely, something like memories of scandinavia, lot's of wood and stone. If it's your first time they show you to your locker, get you slippers and give you a little tour. Then derobe (your choice, bikini or in the buff), and hop in the shower. I like to take my time here, give myself a good scrub with their delicious mint lime body soap and shampoo. They've laid out a circuit through the waters to maximize detoxification. The map of this is posted on the wall. First have a soak in the dead sea salt pool, which is the perfect warm temperature to ease in and relax. From here the circuit will take you through a eucalyptus steam room, an infra red sauna, a cold plunge pool and a hot green tea pool. I usually get in to about my knees in the cold pool, it's really cold (i know it's good for you...but the upfront torture is too hard for my weak will). I've gone with a group of 10 and I've gone with just one other. It's a perfect opportunity to gossip and gab. Body Blitz also offers a variety of massages and packs and wraps and facials. With these treatments the waters are included in the price. Without the treatments the price is $45 (Tuesday's $35) but you could lounge all day if you wanted too. Once you're done in the waters there's a great little mirrored room to blow dry, style and apply. I guarantee you will walk out of there a better person. (oh yeah...ladies only)

I have been going here since it opened and everything about it is fantastic. I have tried every treatment and everything will take the stress away. it is a perfect way to spend a cold afternoon.

Water therapy for whatever ails your skin

I'm in love with Body Blitz. I rarely get any services (though the massages and body wraps/scrubs/treatments are great) because just having access to the waters is so incredibly relaxing and amazing.

I love being in a women only / clothing optional environment, because quite frankly nothing is better than lounging around in a warm salt water pool naked. A bathing suit would just feel wrong, somehow!

The full water cycle includes the warm saltwater pool, an infra red sauna, a steamroom, an icy plunge pool and an extra-hot green tea pool. Every part of the process feels wonderful. Even the showers (and especially the shampoos, conditioners and lotions that are available to all visitors) are wonderful. Plus, it feels extra decadent to be able to order a smoothie or a cup of tea when you first come into the spa and have someone bring it to you poolside.

Every time I go to body blitz, I emerge incredibly relaxed, and my skin feels as soft as a newborn's.

This photo isn't me, this is from their site, but I did get a body scrub from them and it was raw and wonderful. My skin never felt so soft. The process itself was funny because I felt like I was in a car wash. The best part is the service and water facilities; the staff are extremely friendly and before you have your appointment you can rotate around the pools for treatment. There's a green tea tub, salt water, an infra-red sauna, a steam room, and a shivering cold water pool.
