I have to agree with the first review, Clafouti makes the best croissant outside of Paris. My fave is the cinnamon brown sugar flavour fresh in the morning. It tastes like a cinnamon bun, but even more decadent - delish! See Full Post

Chocolate Croissant

Clafouti, a cozy French bakery and Euro-grocery on Queen St. West, is one of the city's best sources for real croissants (most so-called croissants you find are more like bread, not beautiful flakey pastry as they should be). I especially love their chocolate croissants. MMM. And their espresso is not bad. They also have nice sandwiches and other tasty snacks. It's quite busy on a weekend, which makes it nearly impossible to get one of the few seats in the place (and if you've got go early to get the good stuff), but it's pretty chill during the week.
