There are lots of great cafes, my fave CD shop (soundscapes), and is host to a really fun street festival in the summer.

The pizza actually tastes almost as good as pizza made in Italy. I lived in Rome and other parts of Italy for 2 years and became accustomed to quality. Now that I'm back in Toronto (from here) I have basically limited myself to Jonothan's Classic Pizza and Amato's. Jonothan's wins out for best pizza I know in Toronto.
