Indochine-inspired lounge

Rated this place:

Furniture designer Nikki Andriet and her partner Dean Fletcher, along with Toronto-actor Ryan McVittie has opened a buzz-worthy haute-style concept lounge in the new up and coming neighbourhood of Riverside. The Indochine-inspired interior from pig-skin curved lounge chairs to 1940's style Vietnamese daybeds and communist Saigon posters adorning the walls give the space an intimate and luxurious feel. Although Comrade does not have a kitchen, it was one of the first bars to exclusively serve cheese and meat platters, giving Torontonians a new way of socializing.

cool ambiance

Rated this place:

Loved the vibe at the Comrade. Super cool space and an excellent selection of beers and cocktails. The only challenge is that their furniture is more style than function. If you are on a date and you want to sit close to your date, you feel miles apart in the massive chairs. Oh well, it is worth the suffering.

Lounge

Rated this place:

Probably the coolest looking lounge you'll find in Toronto... great selection of wines and beers. The decor and atmosphere is brilliant. The most REAL and laid back bar owners in town... Dean, Nikki and Ryan rock! Ask about their adventures in Vietnam :)
