Crepes A Go Go

That's what they say after handing you your crepe, which the waiter will unwrap for you while you hold it in your hand. My $6 sugar-and-strawberry crepe (no tax! what's up with that?) made my mouth water, and I'll definitely be back soon to try other things on their menu. Great customer service, and an authentic French feel -- not only do the waiters speak French, but I noticed a couple of customers speaking the language too.

Did I forget my passport?

Rated this place:

Stopped by to satisfy my crepe craving and ended up getting transported to Paris, served by staff with sunny smiles and charming French accents. Although I usually like ice cream in my crepes, their selection is more authentic and even offers a culinary creation they call "finger crepes" for gourmands on the go. I ordered a dark chocolate crepe with bits of banana along with a latte, which came up to aroud $10. While the crepe did not disappoint, the cafe au lait recommended as "the best in the city" by the friendly lady behind the counter was not as satisfying for my sweet tooth. The impeccable service more than makes up for any minor missteps; they present their meals with a cute wicker basket with napkins and even help their customers hold the actual food in their hands, gingerly peeling the paper wrapper for them with care.

Brunch spot

Rated this place:

This tiny shop is like a little slice of Paris in the chi-chi-est neighbourhood in town. However, there is no pretention here. Even if there was, the crepes made right before your eyes and served warm and gooey would make up for it.

Crepe restaurant

Rated this place:

This little french cafe is a hidden oasis amongst the many pretentious restaurants in Yorkville. The crepes are delicious and come with a variety of fillings. TThey are well priced and a refreshing minty lemonade offers a nice accompaniment. The waiters speak in French which adds to the authenticity of the place.
