Once home to an old Eastern-European deli, the cozy restaurant-lounge has become one of the city's hotspot for creative arty types, media people and even visiting film stars. Czehoski, pronounced che-hos-kee, has a savoury contemporary cuisine complete with a wide selection of wine and beers from North America and Europe. Its wooden patio can be tranquil in the early to late afternoons, but don't expect to get seated in the evenings without proper reservations.

Best Martinis

I would skip the dinner - especially if you're a vegetarian - as their prices are hight, their opions are limited, and, while good, nothing at our table blew me away.

But their martinis - oh, their martinis - are definitely worth coming back for again and again.

The standout for me is their espresso martini. It tastes *amazing* and even comes with crema on top.

This place just oozes sophistication. If you have a friend in from out of town– and you want to take them somewhere nice – go here. The crowd can get slightly obnoxious on a Thursday eve – but if you show up with a few friends, you will no doubt end up being one of those obnoxious parties. This would also be a great place to go on a first date – guys who are reading this, take note. They have a wonderful menu here too – but not cheap.

Who'd have thought the site of a former butcher shop could pack enough cool to move the "new" Queen West east, far from the madding crowds of the Drake and Gladstone Hotels? Czehoski's is part homage to a business that started 66 years ago, part balancing act that juggles all the right elements a restaurant must in order to survive, with food that's interesting enough to intrigue with enough classic fare for familiarity...

Eggs benedict

The eggs are poached to perfection and served a top a freshly baked Thuet croissant with flavourful smoked salmon in the middle. Eating this for breakfast while sitting atop their beautiful patio is a wonderful way to start your day. Oh, and one of their superb mojito's doesn't hurt either.

Hello it's a freakin Polish name. Of course this is a good place to go for vodka. Plus it's "trendy" or whatever, so the bartenders are kind of wanks, but it's a good place to pit-stop and refuel on some vodski. Located on Queen West so there's tons of places you can go to after. Or you can stop by on your way to the TB park!
