There’s something about this place that just keeps me coming back whenever I find myself night prowling in the market. I think the narrow footprint just lends itself to a party atmosphere as soon as things get moderately busy. The music is consistently good and, when the weather permits, a modest patio makes for some prime market watching.

I've had some great conversations there, listened to deejays and live acts there, watched world cup soccer there, met a ton of strangers there, and they have modest but delicious selection of food and drink.

It’s low key, unpretentious and the drinks don’t cost a fortune.

They have craft beers on tap (blanche de chambly, yes), and oddly smushy couch/chairs. Also, wonderful people watching and uncommonly great music. Adverbs!

While a Pimm's Cup is an ubiquitous summer drink in England, there are few places that make it right in Toronto. Embassy does it perfectly with strawberries, mint, and cucumbers. And, once you're done, there are few places better for spending a summer afternoon in than Kensington Market.

Their Pimms and lemonade is authentically delicious.

This place is run by British ex-pats, and god bless them. It's probably the only place in the city where you can get a pitcher of Pimm's and lemonade, properly garnished with the cucumbers, strawberries, bells & whistles that drink truly requires.
