JK Wine Bar is fabulous, but Jamie Kennedy has really done a great job redefining fast food at Gilead Cafe. Local, artisinal and fresh ingredients only have one outcome - delicious and healthy. Well, almost...if you want to indulge, there are the JK Frites, which are by far the best french fries in the city. It's worth the trip just to share an order. It's a great place for a quick business lunch (although it's very kid-friendly because it's so casual and quick), keep in mind it's counter service...if only they were open for dinner (nudge, nudge).

It'sa very trendy cafe in Corktown. The staff is very friendly, the chefs are gorgeous and the food is delicious.

I've heard and read so many praises for Jamie Kennedy since his stint at the ROM to his adored Wine Bar. However, it's his latest endeavour that I begin my love affair with. The food is rich, complex, and absolutely divine. The fries may be the best I've ever had. They melt in your mouth and the dip has a perfect kick to stir those taste buds. The strawberry soup is deep in colour and equally intense in flavour. To end the meal, a dessert is derserving and I recommend the coconut square.
