High park, Park in the city, Pumpkin float

Rated this place:

It is Torontos biggest park

It sounds like so much fun. I’m sure kids of all ages will enjoy seeing if their pumpkins float. It is also an excellent example how arts & crafts can teach kids about science. Time: Sunday, Time: Sun., October 26, From: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM And check out the stroller fitness program. It is free, and run by moms for moms. And best of all it is outside!Good for moms, good for Babies ! http://highparkstrollerfit.blogspot.com/ http://www.toronto.ca/culture/museums/colborne-lodge.htm

natural park within a city

Sometimes you have to leave this urban jungle and go somewhere a little more green. If you're not able to leave the city, I suggest you visit High Park. The park is about 400 acres so it's a nice escape from the traffic and crowds. You'll discover plenty of woodland, rolling hills, ponds, landscaped gardens and trails. Go for a hike, stroll, bike ride or picnic. For families, check out the playgrounds, zoo and historic Colborne Lodge -- all located inside the park. During the spring High Park looks so beautiful, when all the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom.

I love High Park because it's so huge. You can be in it and quite literally forget that you're in the middle of a bustling metropolis. There are paths to stroll on, ponds to sit by, sculptures nestled in the trees to admire, off-leash dogs scampering about and people enjoying the outdoors all year round.

I've had picnics in high park, cycled around looking for adventure, and even walked 'off the beaten track' and nearly gotten lost in the substantial woods. It's an amazing place to walk around after a snowstorm, and it's just as beautiful during every other season.

Rated this place:

Love Dream in High Park every summer, and the off leash area is a staple for those with a four legged friend. Have many friends and family from out of town and it is always a request to spend at least one day of their trip to Toronto at High Park

It's a perfect getaway from the city... in the city. I love the cherry blossoms in the spring, playing frisbee and lying in the sun on the hill near Grenadier Pond.
