Apple tart, Pain au chocolat

I love the combination of flaky pastry, creamy custard and tart apple. When it's fresh, this is a super dessert. When it's been in the fridge, the pasty loses its crispness which causes much loss in taste, in my opinion.
Flaky, just the right amount of butter (not soggy!), and best just cooled out of the oven.
