A great place to find fresh food, cheap!! Check out the meat at European meat market (skip the cold cuts though) and also the eggs at Maria's.

I had a house just next to Kensington Market on Wales Avenue for 18 years, the one covered in ivey, with the big Gingko tree in front. There are so many great spots in the market, and interesting characters in every shop. This is a neighborhood to visit and hang out in, especially on car-free Kensington Sundays in the summertime.

Turning the Market into a car-free zone for a few hours ona Sunday once a month is a great start to showing how we can transform local neighbourhoods into a much healthier community. Seeing all those people out strolling the streets is a sign that our city is *starting* to wrap its head around car-dominated planning.
