Kultura impresses dish after dish

Rated this place:

Kultura

Everything Kultura does, it does well. The lively main floor lounge onlooking King East (think big windows, long booth-seating, and exposed brick) is a nice place to grab some drinks either before or after your meal on the next floor above. But it's the food at Kultura that really seperates this place from just an ordinary downtown lounge. Everything from the starter spicy flatbread and pineapple chutney to the doughy and sugary mini doughnuts is out-of-this-world. Order the edamame drenched in a gooey miso-black bean sauce (makes you wonder why the soy snack is regularly served so bare), get the chicken samosas (crisped to perfection and served with a unique dipping sauce), sample their pasta creation (truffles, chedder, mushrooms), and YOU MUST try the crispy tofu (pictured here). If you're a semi-passionate tofu eater this dish will make you crazy - super soft tofu is enveloped in a crispy shell and smothered in a soy-scallion-mushroom medley - so good! Go with a bunch of people so you can sample every dish. The prices aren't too bad for such wonderful cuisine.

And that's just the food (although everything else about this place is yummy too)!

Great place for a drink

Rated this place:

The only thing keeping me from giving Kultura 5 stars is that I haven't tried the food...yet! I will be back. The drinks are great. I tried a cocktail with blood orange, gin and marmalade - both exotic and tasty, believe it or not! The service was excellent as was the atmosphere - energetic yet easy to relax and enjoy a good conversation. I found this place on ourfaves.com and thought I'd try it for a date and that was a good call, but this also looks good for after work get-togethers or a night out with a group.

Great restaurant and bar in one

Rated this place:

Kultura

When the weather is awful and you hate the thought of changing locations part-way through the evening, Kultura is the ideal place to go. Start off the evening with dinner upstairs. The food is delicious and draws on flavour combinations from a variety different cultures (for example Mediterranean samosas and jerk chicken risotto.) After dinner it’s just one flight down for drinks and music. A perfect night of martinis and chatting by the bar with friends—old and new. Add to this that Kultura is situated in a historic building and makes the most of its exposed brick walls and original design elements. Gorgeous!

This sexy Wednesday night event is always interesting! The drinks are hot, the people are hotter and the food is exceptional.

The atmosphere is intoxicating and the food is tantalizing. The tappas dishes keep you wanting more. Meant to share but you wish you really didn't have to ;)

It is warm and cozy and it has that perfect vibe when you are in the mood for food & love!

Kultura restaurant

Rated this place:

A cozy ambiance and great tapas food makes kultura one of my favorite restaurants. Following dinner the street level bar and lounge downstairs makes for great pre drinks for a night out on the town.

Tapas restaurant

Rated this place:

The ambience is moody & romantic; the restaurant is so beautifully designed. It's a perfect place for a double date with foodie friends (then you can order more dishes and taste more things!) Each scrumptious dish is brought to the table and described in detail so you can fully appreciate what you're eating. Delish!

Martini

Rated this place:

I’m a pepper lover and The Refined Lemonade martini has a sugar and roasted pepper rim. Its super sweet at first and then the pepper completely explodes in your mouth! You’ll taste it for a long time afterwards.
