rare cheeses, lovingly selected
Rated this place:
If you’re really, truly a fan of cheese, then the wide array of extremely rare farmhouse cheeses definitely makes this place stand out in the ‘cheese landscape’ of the city. I recommend the chèvres from Quebec, or the French-from-France Pouligny St. Pierre.
La Fromagerie also has tonnes of fancy imports – chocolates, teas, olives (oh so many delicious olives!) chestnut purees and spreads (among my favourite things in the world).
But if you’re just passing by and have $5 in your pocket, stop in to sample one of their superb croissants (plain is my fave but the almond and chocolate variations are truly delicious). There’s also an array of dainty sweet pastries and spectacular baguettes.
