Creative food with an Asian-flair
Rated this place:
If you're looking for a fun, chic, and contemporary east-meets-west dining experience, Lee on King West is a great choice. Although it's frequented by a younger crowd, the buzz of the place is infectious. The restaurant has lit up this part of the strip for years and is continues to serve up fun Asian-fusion food by superstar chef, Susur Lee, who's in the kitchen when he's not seeing to his other restos in New York or Singapore. Dishes are served family-style - part of the restaurant's philosophy to engage diners with each other. The menu changes often enough but staples are the szechuan hot & sour soup, the salmon ceviche beautifully served as spoonfuls; the Susur-style diced veg chow mean salad; the slow braised beef; duck confit roll; and the caramelized black cod with miso. It's a good idea to make reservations but don't you dare show up late - they're sticklers for guests being on time. Enjoy!
