Good quick, convenient lunch place
Rated this place:
In a city where new blends of Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese food tend to pop up every other week, most are usually underwhelming but have a great, clean and modern space. So it is with Lime - though, it's convenient for a quick meal or for people working in the Yonge or Mt. Pleasant Eglinton area.
A huge menu, there are lots of options for Vietnamese noodles, Thai curries and soups, meat and vegetables and other dishes that find themselves in the middle of those or "nouveau Asian cuisine." The soups are good - a silky coconut chicken soup brings sweet and spicy together; and you can't go wrong with the tom yum goong soup. Curries aren't too bad, good spiciness.
Another favourite of guests is the mango chicken in a phoenix nest - crunchy potato latticed baskets.
On this visit, the Lime's famous pad thai with chicken was a bit loaded with a little too much tomato paste or ketchup. The soft rolls with smoked salmon was definitely interesting. Not a bad place, just don't go out of your way.
