Fresh! :)

Rated this place:

This place was a great change for me from Fresh (my goto vegan place.)I loved the menu, it's conveniently located by Dupont station, and their gluten-free chocolate cake was delicious!Note: Last time I went, it was the beginning of winter, and I think their heating was broken, so it was pretty chilly :D

Long Live LIVE

Rated this place:

Clean, Colourful and Casual...that's a description of both the food and the restaurant itself. Live is a pleasure to eat at whether you are grabbing a quick bite or out for a family meal. You can't imagine how delicious their raw pizza is, and you can't imagine how long it takes them to prepare it (happily not while you wait, but in advance in dehydration). The nachos are great for a shared appetizer, and the sushi is fantastic. The raw lasagna is great (noodles out of veggies and cheese out of nuts - yum!), as are any of their burger choices. They do offer some cooked items, and there is absolutely something for everyone on this menu, even if you are accustomed to steak and potatoes (then you really should eat here more often anyways). Order a smoothie or fresh juice...add a shot of E3 and learn what a natural high is about. Sample one of their raw, veagn desserts, but really, make sure to grab some of their kale chips from the take out area - these are unreal! Service is quick, but there can sometimes be a lineup, so call ahead if waiting isn't for you.

Get it raw

Rated this place:

Live Organic Food Bar

The word unique is overused but in the case of Live it fits. It's its own niche in the Toronto restaurant landscape - (mostly) raw and vegan food prepared with care and attention to detail. Drop by to pick up a smoothie or dessert to go, or stop in for a nice dinner or Sunday brunch. For dinner, try the raw combo plate to get a sampling of various dishes. They also have a selection of crackers, cookies and bars that are prepackaged - try the kale and red pepper chips, they'll satisfy your salty craving and nourish at the same time.

Live it up...

Rated this place:

Live Organic Food Bar

Live fills a a lovely little niche in Toronto... live organic artful and well crafted food that happens to be vegan with a focus on raw foods. It get's away from standard vegetarian fare (hummous, lentil/tofu burgers, rice bowls) and get's very creative, crafting "noodles" out of zucchini and "cheese" out of nuts. Proponents of raw diets say that by not cooking foods you prevent the loss of important enzymes and vital nutrients. Come to think of it I do always feel a bit "enlivened" after a meal there. In the summer they have a decent little nook of a patio out back with a neighbourhood backyardish feel. They have a whole list of fresh juices and smoothies as good or better than any in the city but you will pay for their delicious nutritiousness. Toss in a shot of E3 live for an added nutrient boost and whiz around the city all afternoon. Or follow up your meal with a decadent dessert. Raw desserts have this dense sweet (natural sweetners like agave syrup) thing about them, which I kinda have have to be in the mood for but the chocolate cake is awesome just about anytime.

Healthy restaurant

Rated this place:

If you believe that the only way food should be consumed is “LIVE”, this is the spot for you. I have to admit though, I like an organic steak on occasion! Live is a huge flavour experience. The vegan foods are a gourmet dining experience!

We all need to eat more raw food and this is the place to get your feet wet. Amazing menu with dishes that you would never think were raw. You leave feeling satisfied and feel great about eating so well. They also do cooking classes on how to make it yourself at home! Such fun.

Organic food shop

Rated this place:

Because they've got great organic food and blender made drinks and the decor is so warm, inviting, and tranquil - especially the patio. Even though I'm not vegan, I really enjoyed eating at this place. The patio really is one of a kind - the decor/setting livens you up!
