Pizzeria

Rated this place:

The pizza sauce is always so fresh and light, making the thin pizza that much more flavourful. The staff never sugar-coat anything for you--you pay for what you get: a great slice of pizza in a great neighborhood!

Yuck!

Rated this place:

Massimo's pizza has a huge and vocal following. I've been there a few times, but after this news, never again.

After being shut down, Massimo's put a sign in the window saying they were closed to fix ventilation problems. BlogTO did some investigation on the dinesafe.ca website and discovered that they were shut down for almost every infraction possible.

Careless employees, unhygienic bathrooms, rodent infestation, and unsanitary utensils are just a few of the reasons I won't be eating there anymore.

If you're in the area looking for pizza, go to Pizzeria Libretto instead.

Sublime in its simplicity

Rated this place:

Back when I was at U of T, all of my friends would start clammering for Papa Ceo's or Cora's at the end of the night. Forget those thousand-topping thousand-slices pizza joints. They're a dime a dozen. Massimo's Margherita slice is simply heavenly, coated in delicious olive oil and dressed with fresh basil. A specific pizza slice isn't something I get nostalgic for very often, but when I do I go here. (Despite what I say above about shops with bloated selections, Amato's Primavera is a close second.)

Pizza

Rated this place:

There's a perfect soft-to-crunchy crust ratio, the veggies are fresh, the sauce is unique and flavourful, and the pieces aren't oozing with cheese - all essential pizza qualities in my books...and they have a fast delivery service.
