I've only tried them in the morning but they serve them straight out of the muffin tin and the muffins are perfectly crunchy on top and super moist and delicious on the bottom.

Coffee, Tea, Atmosphere

Moonbean is a popular cafe-roastery in Kensington Market. They sell coffee and tea (by the cup or in bulk), smoothies, baked goods, sandwiches and other light fare. Their drip coffee's not bad and they have an impressive tea selection. Unfortunately - and this is why I'm not a regular - their espresso skills are poor. Too bad. I really like the atmosphere. It's really lively (with a good mix of locals, tourists and all in between) - a good place to think, read the paper, observe or chat it up with companions. Plus they have two patios (one out front, one in the back, both with shade from the sun), and they offer a coffee card reward system!

Exquisite fair-trade coffee, fruit smoothies and spinach-tofu samosas. They play great music and it’s not too far from the groceries.

Sort of like spanakopita, these bagel-shaped savoury pastries are a middle-eastern treat. Moonbeam makes them homemade with a range of vegetarian fillings like spinach and feta or olive and mushroom.

I love Kensington, especially once the weather gets warm. And a sunny morning or afternoon on the patio of the Moonbeam is the perfect way to celebrate the return of spring. Have some great java, one of their vegan or standard baked sweets, or a savoury boreka, and enjoy the great people watching.

I actually have many fave indie cafes, but today, I love the Moonbeam. A wide array house-roasted organic and fair trade coffee, over 30 loose leaf teas, delicious assortment of fresh juices and smoothies, and the requisite roster of espresso drinks makes it easy to find the right delicious bevvie, whether hot or cool. The staff is friendly, and it's always a cheery atmosphere. They make and sell a lot of really good specialty vegan and also standard baked goods. And they've got great front and

Freshly roasted beans makes this the best latte I've ever had! Yes, better than Caffe Artigiano and Caffe Art Java. I love sharing my latte with my fiance, whom I drag there all the time against her will (b/c it's so far from home).

I feel comfortable there. They make a decent soy latte, and it's a great place to read a book or meet a friend on a quiet day.
