Fall down the rabbit hole and indulge!

Rated this place:

Enjoy the Alice-in-Wonderland inspired whimsical decor both inside the cafe and during the warmer months, on their beautiful tucked away patio. Great for afternoon tea/hot chocolate with the girls or some mother-daughter catching up over some of the best truffles around! They also have a fantastic boutique attached so that you can take home some of MoRoCo's divine goodies!

Chocolate Heaven

Rated this place:

Someone has broken off a piece of chocolate heaven and dropped it off at 99 Yorkville Ave. MoRoCo Chocolate is a combination boutique and restaurant with its prime focus being chocolate. There is a varied selection of handmade truffles, caramels and macarons to be had in the boutique portion. Further on is the restaurant, decorated in a dark pallet which contrasts against the pristine white of the boutique. The restaurant offers chocolate sipping with your choice of 3 types of chocolate (dark, milk or white orange vanilla) accompanied by a truffle and fresh whipped cream. We chose the dark chocolate and it was divine. The chocolate fondue was equally delicious - you have a choice of the type of chocolate, plus fruit, marshmallows and mini pastry. The s'mores were out of this world !! They arrive with a faux campfire so you can roast the mini marshmallows and build your own. MoRoCo also offers afternoon High Tea (numerous artisian blends) and a light lunch/dinner menu. The menu has items such as soups (the french onion soup was excellent),gourmet salads and sandwiches, wine/champagne by the glass or bottle, martinis etc. If you go all in - chocolate sipping, fondue, s'mores, tea, truffles and food you will drop a fare amount of coin but you are paying for quality ingredients and excellent service. Best of all you don't have to die to go to chocolate heaven. (ps. Call 24hrs in advance to book afternoon tea)

Delicate Desserts

Rated this place:

I am completely macaron obsessed. In Paris I lived blocks away from the best macarons on the planet and I couldn't seem to walk past without trying a different flavour.

Here in Toronto, few places even know what one is, nevermind perfect it. And everytime I've finally found a place in Toronto that carries them, they only do one flavour and you have to order them in advance. Moroco carries several flavours that are made fresh daily - and keep me satisfied until my next trip to Pierre Herme.

Sweet cafe and take-out

Moroco Chocolat

MoRoCo Chocolat is a beautiful, feminine spot where you can pick up sweets or stop for a bite. Located on Yorkville Avenue, it’s set back from the street in the small courtyard beside Paper Things. They carry inventive truffles (decorated with perky designs and featuring flavours ranging from peanut butter and jelly to chai tea), dainty macaroons (just as wonderful as those in La Durée in Paris), flavoured marshmallows and a host of other treats. Perfect for gift giving! Or you can enjoy Afternoon tea, a light snack or even a meal there. (They serve everything from sandwiches to truffled mac and cheese.) All of this in the most delightfully feminine spot that consists of a white and airy store front with a beautifully dark café at the side. Lovely!
