Neutral

Rated this place:

This place is alright. Definitely my favourite place to get weekend drinks in Kensington. The place by no means looks fancy, but still probably the neatest place in the market, and it's not full of yuppie trendoids that invade the community on Friday nights. Neutral's a fun little place on Fri or Sat night, the drinks are cheap and the attitude is nice and chill. The music varies depending on what night it is, but usually it's some mix of alternative rock, brit, or underground electronica. Friday nights seem to draw in a crowd of typical artsy Kensington types who mostly just want to party and have a good time. It's a lot of 90s nostalgia and the place has a good vibe.

Rock bar

Rated this place:

This bare-bones basement rock club sits on the border of Kensington Market and College Street. During the week, Neutral caters to live bands and karaoke lovers and turns into a Mod rock DJ dance party every Saturday with Kensington Station...

Friday night club

Rated this place:

I really enjoy dancing to Osaze's mix of old and new anthems from the darker subcultures (goth, industrial, sythpop, ebm, metal, retro, etc). It's the freedom on the dancefloor, the unpretentious vibe, and the subculture etiquette that give Neutral its charm.

Dance club

Rated this place:

On Friday nights they play a lot of older alternative/goth/industrial. Great for us 30 somethings who used to go dancing every weekend at alternative nights in the the late 90s.
