A Great Place to Take the Kids

Rated this place:

This is such a great place for the kids and adults to have fun and learn so much at the same time. My kids enjoyed making body prints and standing on the projected fish in the main foyer. They also liked checking out all the musical instruments, and watching the balls fly up through an air stream. There was even a section for my youngest to play without me worrying about being knocked over. I love this place because it makes science and learning fun. There is so much to see and do that you can literally spend all day here.

Edutainment in Toronto

Rated this place:

Ontario Science Centre

Your family will love the Ontario Science Centre! There are days and days worth of exhibits, and kids of all ages (and adults alike) are able to enjoy them regardless of their interest or ability. Even the multi levels in this building make it fun...the escalators are a "ride" in itself as your family can peer outside into the forest outside. Check for special exhibits, and their IMAX film schedule...lots about the earth, healthy eating, energy conservation and lots of other eco-ed, all delivered in an entertaining way that will keep you wanting to return often. (hint: get the family yearly membership).

Ontario Science Centre

Rated this place:

I use to go all the time as a child. Didn't get to revisit this place until 2007 - which didn't seem too thrilling. However, I went again this year with a friend, and had a better appreciation for the exhibitis at the Science Centre. I took my time to read through the experiments and the exhibits and learned quite a lot.It makes learning fun!

Science is Fun!

Rated this place:

Learning made fun. You can make a whole day out of a visit to the Ontario Science Centre because there is so much to see and do in that one huge building. There is an exhibit/hall for anyone of any age such as their Science Arcade or Rainforest exhibits. Better yet, see a movie at the Omnimax Theatre or try their Aging Machine!Even though your child probably will visit the Ontario Science Centre on a school trip, it's worth taking a day over the weekend to explore it with them. You'll be amazed at how much fun you and your child will have together, even if it is meant to be educational!

Major attraction

Rated this place:

Fell in love with the place at my first visit when I was 12. Hi-tech games and competitions, specially playing fast chess with the computer. Amazing skill development and physics and chemistry experiments displayed. Don't miss the one on electricity. One day is not enough. Prices are a bit steep, but once every few years is worth the new tech and scientific theorems I get when I go there.

Place to take the kids

Rated this place:

It's lots of fun for grown ups too! The sports arcade is the best place to challenge your friends - throw baseballs, race wheelchairs and bikes, and see who can jump with the least impact. They also have a great educational music exhibit.

Place to take the kids

Rated this place:

It's why my own mind was brought to the understanding that science isn't something beaten into you with text books and tests. Science is life! And that's coming from an English- lit student. This is a place that is fun for all ages and reminds us all that science is not just critical to understand, it's fun and it's wonderous!

Place to spend a rainy morning with kids

Rated this place:

Ontario Science Centre

The Kidsworks exhibit area is amazing for small kids, and there's lots more to explore all around the centre - caves, rainforest, sports exhibit... There's lots of space to run around and let off steam. It's never too busy if you go in the morning.
