Late night walk

Rated this place:

I’m a sucker for old buildings, so when I moved to Toronto, I found myself wandering through the older parts of the city like University of Toronto, just staring. Poet bonus: a statue of people’s poet Al Purdy was recently unveiled in Queen’s Park.

TripAtlas.com's 10 Best of Haunted Toronto

Rated this place:

Featured as part of TripAtlas.com's 10 best haunted attractions in Toronto: The 100+ year-old Ontario Legislature building has lots of skeletons in its closets. Before it was a government building, it's said that it was a psychiatric asylum. The most popular sighting is that of three women (former asylum patients) who are seen throughout the building - one with long white hair, one who hung herself in the basement, and another with a dress thrown over her head. In tunnels below Queen's Park leading to other government buildings across the street, some have reported seeing a woman with a noose around her neck. See Full Post

A great place to relax

Rated this place:

Queen's Park

As a former U of T student, I've crossed Queen's Park so many times that I've taken its beauty for granted. It's a gorgeous place to sit and have lunch. Also, if you're lucky, there might be bongo drummers nearby, providing a soothing soundtrack to your stay.

Place to chill

Rated this place:

I like hanging out on a bench here on sunny afternoons or crisp fall evenings. It's a nice place to chill out with a book and unwind amid the chaos of the city. Small and not exactly quiet (a lot of traffic goes by, for obvious reasons) it is not exactly a picnic spot, but still a nice respite in a hectic part of town.
