All Souped Up

Rated this place:

This is a marvelous place. Soups are imaginative and full of flavour. I am not usually a fan of wraps, but Ravi's are so fresh and stuffed with amazing combinatiions of taste. The place is friendly, the staff remarkable at handling crowds in a small space. Lovely garden. Almost worth going just to see the gorgeous big wooden table in the main room. One of the best buys in the downtown core

Best soup in town.

Ravi Soup

Everything at this Adelaide Street lunch spot is delicious and the soup/wrap combo is the perfect way to sample a few of the amazing flavours. Personally I'm always torn between the curried apricot and lentil soup and the roasted corn soup, but the porcini bisque is also out of this world. I could probably eat the pulled pork and lamb wraps every day. The space itself is small and narrow but in the summertime a pretty patio out back more than doubles the seating capacity, so even though soup seems like a wintry sort of food I usually go there when the weather's warm.

Soup and wrap place

Ravi Soup

It's a narrow space that's often packed with hungry people at its peak hours, but the wait in line is worth it for one of Ravi's soups or wraps that he makes himself. There's even a dish called Ravi Stew, with ingredients that change according to whatever Ravi himself decides on a whim. The portions are extremely filling, and one wrap at Ravi's is equivalent to two wraps anywhere else. I also love the impressionist mural that resembles a sunset in its patio at the back.

I can get pulled smoked chicken with sweet potatoe - and that's just heaven.. and the portions are HUGE so one wrap could be lunch for 2 days...

Their soup wrap combo is killer. Both the soup and the wrap are really really good.

It's the best soup I can remember having outside of a pricey sitdown restaurant and might be better than any of those too.

Chicken hot pot soup

Rated this place:

It is super yummy and a meal in a bowl. Lots of veggies, chicken and noodles in a delicious chicken/coconut milk broth. I eat this at least once a week.
