Native pow wow in north america

Rated this place:

Rogers Centre

I was at the Largest Multi-Disciplined Aboriginal Arts Event in North America at the Rogers Centre. This year’s theme was “AKWE-KON” which means “everyone”. It was the 14th Anniversary of the Canadian Aboriginal Festival. And everyone was welcomed, all races and creeds.

Baseball games and concerts

Rogers Centre

The Rogers Centre is an excellent venue for a variety of concerts, festivals and sports games. I saw Bruce Springsteen in concert here and the dome was open at night. It was an amazing show, and neat that you could look up at the wide open sky. During baseball season I usually visit the Rogers Centre to see Blue Jays games. We're lucky to have a team, and it's a nice way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. There's also something about coming to the ball game, cheering with the crowd and pigging out on hot dogs, peanuts and beer that makes me happy.

The place hosts some of the most spectacular sporting stuff. The skydome makes it look unique.

Rogers Centre

Rated this place:

The home of major sports, concerts and exhibitions started off with shoddy financial backing before turning the old Skydome into the corporate sounding Rogers Centre. The home of the Blue Jays offers a “tour experience” with a one hour, fully guided behind the scenes tour that includes a pit stop to the Blue Jays Hall of Fame, Luxury Suites, a Press Box and more. Admission varies by age.

An engineering marvel when it opened...

Rated this place:

...somehow it's already starting to look tired. Or maybe it's just the fans. Still, baseball is the best deal in town when it comes to professional sports, and the Jays, though lagging behind in the most difficult division in baseball, have actually been playing pretty exciting ball for at least a couple of years. It's worth noting that the experience is completely different based on whether you're on the 500-level, where on weeknights there's an open cash only every few gates and you can't catch a vendor in the stands to save your life, or on the 100-level, where there's a food/beer stand every three feet. You can even get a Montreal smoked meat sandwich behind home plate (although I wouldn't recommend it).

None other than the home of the blue jays! if you are a mlb fan then this is the place to be, come baseball season. and even if you aren't you can pretend to be a good girlfriend and take the opportunity to work on that killer tan if the roof is open! it is actually a really exciting place to be when there is a good game on (ie. texas rangers) seats are cheap, but food and booze isnt so indulge before you come if you're on a budget.
