Im shocked to hear some of the positive comments about shawarma Max....i guess people didnt see what i saw and several others...i have been to Max once and that was the first time and the last...i walked in and discovered what a dirty place it was but i was with some co-workers so i didnt make a big deal about it..when i was ordering the guy looked so angry and he looked at me as if he was doing me a favour, no please no thank you!! i then got my sandwich and as we were sitting we discovered 2 mice run behind the counter ewww we walked out instantly tiotally appalled by what we saw....a few months later we discovered a nice and clean shawarma place just north on yonge south of finch called Dandanah Shawarma, honestly the cleanest shawarma joint in the GTA and extremely tasty shawarma..i ate the chicken shawarma and one of my co-workers tried the beef and loved it... maybe those above havent tried this new place cause Max is such a dive and i definitely would never return to a place with mice!!

I tried Beef shawarma so that might be the reason why I didnt like it at all... Bad Service (the guy looked mad) and the meat tasted like Burger King, Garlic Sauce tasted like mayo. Sorry for disappoint you guys but this one was a bad experience.

I have scoured the GTA for the best chicken shawarma sandwich, and the MAX wins hands down! They are very consistently delicious!! I frequent the Max about 2-3 times a week! Tips: -Try it with some tzatziki and garlic sauce -make sure you say yes to at least a little hot sauce and get LOTS of Tahini (their's is the BEST around... not too lemony like so many are) -The best time to go is when the chicken on the spit is nice and crispy (won't be the case if they are packed with customers)

I like chicken shawarma. i tried it from different places. but Shawarma Max is the best.it is fresh,healty and very tasty. it is on the Younge street .just north of the Sheppard.
