The all-Canadian designers actually work in the store! You have to check out the chunky Pricila Gomes sweaters as well as great finds from Thieves, Lousje & Bean, and many more locals. Interesting accessories, art and fun furniture, too! It's located on West Queen West near Brock, in Parkdale.

So many Canadian designers to choose from. Shopgirls does an excellent job of inviting you into the world of Canadian design. Their designers are passionate about what they do and give you personalized service. All the people who work there also have their art in the store so you really get a feel for what they can do.

In the heart of Parkdale is this funky space that is more gallery than retail store (apparently also available for rent for private functions). All-Canadian designers are featured...art, clothing, jewelry and accessories. Shopgirls should be a destination for their large stock of Yoga Jeans alone - if you don't know what they are, their name says it all...go and get a pair. or two. (but to stay eco-ish, please don't over-consume! :)) Pleasantly surprised by the friendly, down-to-earth service and also thrilled to know that they are part of the 3/50 project. (learn more at www.the350project.net ) I would be great to see them supporting more of the local and "eco" lines out there - although they did have some fabulously coloured and stylish undergarments...organic where it counts most! shop girl shop!
