A fairly small bar in the middle of the Quest; it’s usually overshadowed by its evil neighbour, The Drake Hotel. This does not bother me, I assure you. The Beaconsfield is a great place to grab a pint Sunday night after a hectic weekend. The Sunday DJ is beyond awesome as well. His name is ‘Your Boy Brian’ & the last time I was there he played New Kids on the Block, Radiohead, The Cars, Biggie, Bloc Party, Mickey Avalon & Feist. He wins.

The Burger is presented nicely - but not nearly as good as the Drake Burger you can get next door at the same price.

And, what is it with the music?

I feel very crotchety complaining about this - but in a restaurant with no dance floor, why do they insist on keeping the music at a volume that silences conversation?

Good for beers and cooktails - and other short visits. A little grating to stay for dinner.

The Hipster Hangout

Whenever I want to go find out how to dress – I go to the Beaconsfield. There’s always some remarkably cool chick outside having a butt with a slam dunk outfit on. Inside – is loud and vivacious on a Thursday to Saturday night. The music is always just right – and the bartenders look like they should be posing for American Apparel ads. This is the perfect place to go if you have had a bad day at work – and just want to drink, drink, drink and be silly. It’s also a great place to meet people. I don’t know why but some bars are much better for this than others. I have never gone to the Beaconsfield – without rubbing shoulders with a stranger and then chatting. Now – this doesn’t mean you always want to befriend this person, but it does always make for good entertainment.P.S - their burgers are also really good. Yum.

Its topped with oven roasted tomato, aged chedder and carmelized onions and its damn delicious.

Best spicy caesars in the city that I have experienced thus far... many places serve them but don't actually know how to make them... they do... follow one up with one of their burgers... also excellent
