Even though we got our ice cream fix, we both thought the ice cream at The Big Chill was just average. Yes the ice cream was very creamy, so I loved that part, but personally I thought the flavour was just not there. As in, I hardly tasted any "cookies" in my "cookies & cream" and my boyfriend didnt' taste much "pralines" in his "pralines & cream" either (same with the cookie dough, just tasted cream). The pomegranate sorbet was an explosion of rich, bold, pomegranate flavour that leaves a tang in the end. The ginger ice cream with bits of ginger candy was extremely creamy and had a strong ginger taste. The sweetness coming from the candied ginger was actually to my liking, as I have a major sweet tooth :D When it comes to ice cream, all that we ask are that it reflects the name it represents, in addition to a creamy texture. This ginger ice cream we ordered satisfied both criteria and left us (or me) smiling like a kid again :) Let’s not forget the little oreo cookie on top which was a great, tasty garnish and a textural contrast. It's a cute ice cream shop lined with an abundance of cow figurines throughout the store. The walls are colored with bright green and watermelon theme colors.There's a variety of items on the menu including frozen yogurt, sundaes, milkshakes, smoothies, floats, Belgian waffles, ice cream cake and of course an array of ice cream flavors to choose from. I try not to indulge too often, but this is one of my go-to places for ice cream. There's something to be said for fresh cones.

You know it's almost summer when the waffley goodness of The Big Chill starts wafting through the streets of Little Italy. I had my first (of many) scoops of the season last night: mint chip and chocolate peanut butter... ummmm. And they put a little mini Oreo on top of every cone.

It's basically next door to my house, they have a few varieties of non-dairy ice-cr... stuff, and just the smell of their fresh-baked waffle cones is divine. Most other ice-cream shops haven't even learned how to be close to my house yet, let alone the other two things. UPDATE: No longer next to my house!

I love it here!!! It is all so good, some of my faves are of course caribou tracks, it usually has an obscene amount of fudge in it! Espresso robusto is the most amazing in my opinion though, great!

I go there because of their Dutch Apple Pie ice cream. Lots of fancy words yadda yadda JUST EAT IT. YOU WILL SEE GOD.
