Hurry to Harbord

Rated this place:

It's so important for us to be connected to our food, and thanks to The Harbord Room and those brilliant foodies behind the restaurant, as we order, we are privy to knowing where everything comes from. The servers are very well informed and understatedly enthusiastic (in a good way) about the menu. Each appetizer sounded delicious, the cold tomato soup (read: gazpacho) was simple yet outstanding. The presentation of each dish was great, and it was all smiles as the dishes were served. Around our table was, "best burger ever", "wow", "yum", "try this", the marniated honey mushrooms just as garnish were fantastic. The prices are very reasonable for what you are being served. The wine list included some good local labels, and it would have been nice if any of their cocktails had the same commitment to local, organic or fresh flavours! Please DO NOT pass on dessert, especially if they have Churros on the menu. Request the booth by the window, or get there early during patio season to grab a seat, eat, drink and savour.

Trendsetters from Forest Hill

Fresh flavours and delightful atmosphere

Rated this place:

The Harbord Room

It’s easy to walk by this inconspicuous-looking row house on Harbord but you’d be sorry to miss this gem of a restaurant if you didn’t walk in for a closer look. A delight for foodies, Harbord Room offers an imaginative menu with crisp fresh ingredients in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. A series of small, medium and large dishes allow you to sample a variety of flavors. I recommend the salt cod fritters, applewood smoked cheddar grilled cheese, aerctic char salad and the succulent grilled veal chop. The back patio is a charming spot in the summer but go early to avoid line-ups.

Trendy bistro

Rated this place:

This place is delightful. The pink interior, beautiful high top seating, great bistro menu, delicious wine list and fine looking waitstaff make this place a fine choice for a lovely night out . It reminds me of the Beaconsfield yet brighter. I had the burger and it was excellent. Oh yeah - They even make their own ketchup.
