Park, Romantic spot

Rated this place:

I love the curb-to-curb grass.

I know, it's a park, full of kids and dogs and frisbee-o-philes. But there's nothing better than laying around in the warm grass on a sunny day with someone worth making out with.

Downtown Park

Rated this place:

Trinity Bellwoods is the easiest way to escape the commotion of the city without ever having to leave the city. For those who prefer exercising outdoors as opposed to in a gym or yoga class, this downtown park has all of the amenities you need to keep active. Trinity’s near-40 acres is dotted with tennis courts, baseball diamonds, running and bike trails, a dog park, and tons of open space that’s prime for post-workout napping or picnicking. For me, the best part about Trinity is its location. For those who work in downtown Toronto, the park offers a free and easy way to stay fit without confining yourself to a workout class schedule. Trinity also plays home to several sports leagues, including a women’s softball league for which I played, making it as much a social environment as it is a healthy one.

Park in the city

Trinity Bellwoods Park

I'm lucky to live down the street for this beautiful, big park (37 acres) with old, tall trees. The ravine (also known as the dog bowl) in the park is a leash-free zone for dogs. A recreation centre, tennis courts, baseball field and kids playground also makes it a great place to take the family on a Saturday afternoon. I love going for a morning jog through the park and then stopping by Fresh By Juice for Life (located beside the park at Queen & Crawford) for a smoothie.

The best thing about this park is that everyone has a smile to share with you as you pass by. A friendly place and there is always something interesting to see.

Chillin Outside, West Queen West

Rated this place:

Trinity Bellwoods Park is amazing. A huge park with tennis courts, jogging and bike tracks, playgrounds, wide-open fields, tree-climbing trees, lots of benches, wicked coffee, snacks and lots of galleries nearby, art shows and stuff happening in summer and tons of active people doin' what people do in parks, it's lovely by day. By night, it's just as lovely with people do what people do in parks at night: beat drums, stroll with lovedolls, brownbag beers with friends, night-time bike-cruisin'. Yeah, it's awesome.

Best park in the city

Rated this place:

Trinity Bellwoods Park

I love the fact that Toronto is so full of large, urban parks, but my favourite has always been Trin-Bell. It's large, there's loads to do. there's a rink, a baseball diamond, large open fields and even a big pit perfect for dogs or just for hanging out at a bench or picnic table with your friends.

In the summer, the park seems always busy but rarely too crowded to be enjoyed. Good for people watching, park-naps, picnics or late-night hangouts in the open air (perfect for those of us not blessed with huge back yards).

I even enjoy it when local mounted police their horses there for a bit of exercise. Makes them seem a lot more endearing.

Park

Rated this place:

It's the best place to be in the green space, yet to be so close to the city. randomness occurs there all the time from tight-rope walkers, to drumming circles, to tennis games, to regular park-going activities.
