Type is one of those great bookstores that you wander into and immediately find yourself inspired to read more. It’s a wonderful departure from the overwhelming large chain bookstores and the ideal place to spend a lazy weekend afternoon browsing and buying. In the nice weather, it’s great to take your newly purchased book, and maybe a coffee from one of the nearby cafes, across into Trinity-Bellwoods park. In addition to books, Type also has a great selection of magazines and some small gift items. All of which makes it the perfect neighbourhood bookstore. Go there to discover the perfect item for a friend or for yourself.

This is an amazing little store!!! I found the coolest agendas (something i have been searching for for a very long time) at an amazing price ($17.00 with tax). they have a great selection of coffee table type books along with books of any genre that you probably wont find in chapters or indigo. my boyfriend bought a green architecture book which are usually pretty expensive, but he got it for $17.00 what a steal!

Every book they stock is great - interesting, a mix of eclectic & mainstream. the staff know books and can make great recommendations. their kids book selection is also fantastic.

They have a unique and wide selection of interesting coffee table books, particlarly in areas of art and fashion. I love browsing through the shelves and flipping through the large, glossy pages. It's a good place to go for a house-warming gift, or just to support a great local business.

The vibe, the selection, the staff.... amazing books. You don't have to sift through a million books to find ones you like. They only stock interesting books which makes it a perfect place to go when you need a gift or a new book to cosy up to.

I know I have a lot of bookstore faves - I really like books - but I couldn't resist adding another. I don't know how I walked passed this store so many times without going in. Everything about it is perfect, right down to the graphic damask print on the walls. They have a well chosen collection of books with a great selection of design and children's books.

Lovely little indie bookshop just across from Trinity Bellwoods - open about a year, great selection of books, magazines and gift items. Friendly staff who will always help you find just the right thing for your reading pleasure.
