Great online reservation system, good selection of cars (including a pickup truck for those big jobs!) and decent car locations downtown. The rates are a little steep compared to AutoShare, but it's a good car sharing option.

Out of the two car-share competitors in town, I pledged allegiance to Zipcar. Why? Because, I was seduced by seductive pamphlet peddlers. The real question is, “Why have I stayed with them”?Even though Auto-Share is a Canadian company, and ultimately cheaper, I enjoy the reservation process provided by Zipcar immensely and the card itself makes pick up and drop off super fast and easy, as opposed to filling out a time log and dropping off your keys in a lock box. A beloved feature when it’s 20 below. To top it off, my only experience with customer service, which was to report an accident, was friendly, easy and efficient. Zipcar has given me no reason to reconsider my pledge.

It's all the convenience of having a car with none of the hassle. Use a car only when you need to, and pay by the hour. They have tons of cars in the downtown core, it's super easy to reserve online, even at the last minute, cars are frequently available nearby. Saves so much time when you have errands to run all over the city.

I don't have a car but frequently have to get to meetings off the TTC routes. Zipcar makes it easy - book online, show up, get in the car and drive off, drop off, lock the car and walk away. Cheaper than renting from traditional rental cars and car sharing means fewer cars on the road (you only use the car when you need it)
