Trinity Bellwoods, the arty neighbourhood located just in the downtown west area of the city is giving Kensington Market a run for its vintage money. Still thankfully free of cookie-cutter big box retailers, the area have found its niche with vintage-heavy stores that are sartorially eclectic yet very light on the purse like 909. 909 features interesting clothes from decades past with coats, dresses, and pants, cool knick-knacks of sunglasses and jewellery, and funky bags. Stepping onto the small store with racks dominating the dresser view reminds me of a cool aunt's closet where you can peruse for any merchandise. They also have small furnitures for sale, ideal if you're looking for select pieces that aren't devoid of character.
