Blue fig martini

Rated this place:

It's the coolest cocktail around, to be slowly sipped and enjoyed in equally cool environs. Imagine icy-cold, frozen-fig infused vodka, served with a tiny side of fromage bleu (isn't french sophistocated?). Your server (ours was divine!) will advise you to alternate sips with tiny spoonfuls, and the flavors are so complementary. Cocktails average between $9 and 11, and the place isn't cheap, but well worth the expense for a decadent night out with friends. Ask about the Earl Grey martini! Mmm.

Go for the mussels

Rated this place:

Chambar

When one thinks of good eats in Crosstown, Chambar is usually the first thing that comes to mind. Friends swear by this Belgian bistro, citing heavenly meals and drinks to match. In my personal experience, the mussels alone are worth the trip. Chill at the bar or lounge with your mussels and martini before heading to Gastown for more nightlife. See Full Post

Martinis and dessert

Rated this place:

Chambar

The martinis are the yummiest in town and the pastry chef is a goddess!
