It's difficult to find baguette done the way they do in France, and La Baguette comes as close as any I've encountered in BC. Fresh and fine, I'd be buying it every day if I lived a bit closer!

Creperie

The place I go to satisfy my frequent cravings for crepes and galettes. Leagues better than the franchises that are spattered across downtown Vancouver. Enjoy your meal while sipping on apple cider and listening to Isabelle sing French ditties while she cooks.

Bakery, Crepes

Not only are there often buskers to entertain you in the square outside, but the bakery gives FREE samples of bread and cake daily! The bread is wonderful- the best chewy texture with a hard crust, and many varieties to choose from. The pastries are tres francais, and worth every sinful bite.

Quite different from the standard crepe joint due to the region of France from which the proprietors hail (Britanny). Try the buckwheat, with scambled egg and scrumptious sausage, or the smoked salmon, potato and onion. Or anything else on offer! Lovely, personal service as well.
