You'd think that it would be fairly simple to decide where the beginning of the trans Canada highway is, but... Victoria and Tofino both stake their claim. So Victoria commemorates theirs with a 'mile zero' marker, and Tofino calls theirs the 'Pacific Terminus'. One thing is certain- almost all of Canada is east of this sign.
