Swim Canada's Longest Laps

An outdoor saltwater pool and Canada's longest -the laps run lengthwise so you can really get a work out! I guess if you really wanted an outdoor swimming challenge you could try to swim to Vancouver Island instead, but I wouldn't recommend it. At least they have life guards here (and no pesky ferries to get in your way).

This is apparently Canada's longest pool at 137 metres (449 feet), which is cool. Cooler still is the location, the fact that it has half the chemicals of a regular pool, and a zero degree entry. That basically means the water slopes gradually up to poolside with no curb or wall on one side. Brilliant!
