A great place for kids, the Montreal Biodome offers four different simulated ecosystems (tropical forest, Laurentian forest, St. Lawrence marine ecosystem, and Artic/Antartic), complete with puffins, penguins, monkeys, flamingos, piranhas, porcupines, ducks, and seagulls (cover your head!). Featuring a small café and cafeteria, an interactive learning centre, and a gift boutique, the Biodome is a great place for a classroom field trip, or a March Break rainy-day activity.

The biodome is an amazing place to go with friends or family. Different ecosystems such as Jungle,Desert and Arctic are represented along with the flora and fauna of their regions. Cool place to learn new things about nature.

Everytime someone visits me in Montreal, I take them here and none of them have been below the age of 20. But judging from the families infesting the Biodome, the young'ns won't be disappointed either. This is better than your average zoo - it is an indoor microworld divided into four distinct ecozones filled with native plants and animals, but without the usual cages. Strolling through the tropical area, you might find a monkey blocking your path. Cool! 4777 Ave Pierre-de-Coubertin
