Pad thai

Rated this place:

Cuisine Bangkok

I used to love pad thai - but after going to the Cuisine Bangkok stall in Faubourg I cannot enjoy any other one the way I used to. No other pad thai lives up to this. When I come to Montreal I eat there as much as I can - and get one to go as well!

Surely the best Curry

Rated this place:

The Pad Thai is definitely amazing but I can’t seem to stop ordering the veg/tofu curry! So many veggies and such a good price (under 10$). On the top floor of the Faubourg, this little gem is easy to overlook but totally worth finding. There is a spice warning at the counter and they’re not lying. Spicy is actually pretty spicy so you might want to take it easy if you’re a first-timer.

Pad Thai to die for

Rated this place:

Ok so my friend had been raving about this special hole in the wall pad thai from Montreal for years and I never really paid too much attention. However, since we all were in Montreal last weekend, I got to experience his favourite pad thai and I have to say, I really understand what he was raving about for all these years. This place is amazing - you can tell the women who run it have a very special recipe that is well guarded as they seem to be the only ones making the food. The pad thai is the right amount of spice, tamarind (i think) and sweetness. It really was incredible - fresh and authentic in it's flavour. It is in the middle of a sketchy mall but worth the trek. I also had the Tom Yum soup and it was delicious. The whole thing cost under $10. I will definitely be going back for more.
