The old grandeur of the King Eddie, situated blocks from the Financial District and north of St. Lawrence Market, can still be felt today with its massive suites and high ceilings that even most boutique hotels don’t really have. The who’s who of politics from British PM Margaret Thatcher to the reigning princesses of pop-culture like Britney Spears have also stayed at the 37 King St. E. address. New Year’s Day brunch here is no word of a lie, fabulous. Yet it is advised to book reservations weeks in advance.
