I love the barns!

Rated this place:

I love the barns! not only is there a great variety of organic produce, meats, honey, coffee, tea, but there are lots of toilettries vendors and prepared foods! The sweat potato muffins/cup cakes where super yummy and I highly recommend. There are also musicians playing and dancers. Super fun!

Eat local easily

Green Barn Farmers' Market

I finally made it to this market this morning and I'm in love. Shopping here makes eating local and organic easy. Today's haul included local goat and sheep cheese, olive bread, local organic flour and pasta, local eggs, tasty salad mix and locally made crackers – then I ran out of money! The market has a nice mix of raw ingredients and ready-made foods – the sweet potato table, for instance, had boxes of sweet potatoes sharing space with sweet potato salad, sweet potato pie and other goodies. There's a coffee vendor near the entrance and I combined that with a sweet potato muffin for breakfast. Next time I'll be buying some of the locally made, directly traded chocolate and the empanadas.

New and Neighbourhoodly!

Rated this place:

This market recently moved to its permanent home at the Artscape Wychwood TTC Barns, in the covered street barn...what a fabulous space, indoors and out! You will find local, mostly organic and seasonal food here. You'll find the delicious flavours and rainbow of colours of local and organic produce here plus, honey, bread, cheese, fish and meats, grains, jams, syrup, wildcrafted foods, mushrooms, and lots of people to talk to! There is an area for kids to play and keep busy, although I encourage you to elt yur kids shop with you too...it's amazing that when they choose the foods, they will like to eat it...even kale!
