just wanting to post in here cuz i was relying on other posts to choose a hair salon in toronto. got my hair cut sept17/09 i recommend this place, great vibe, Leesa was reaaaalllyy great!! she's got great experience and also taught - she calmly & confidently tells u what she's going to do & why, she gives advice on what type of cut will look best & what u described. try it!!!

After reading the reviews and seeing candice's great new haircut, I decided to treat myself to a visit. Alicia gave me a fantastic cut - and even walked me through the styling tips along the way.

The fees are scalable - so you can pay $40 to see a junior stylist all the way up to a visit with Mr. Steinburg himself.

I'm the kind of person who sometimes needs the stylist to tell ME what kind of style i should have, because I'm clueless when it comes to hair! Alicia had amazing instincts and gave me a beautiful cut that looked amazing even without any styling at all. I went in feeling down and awkward and out feeling confident and fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally check this place out. It's funky and modern and on top of all that..actually super-affordable.

I am a huge fan of this place. After spending many months searching for the right place to go, I decided to try John Steinberg. This was no coincidence, as many of the girls I work with starting showing up to work with gorgeous stylish hair. Upon inquiring, they told me John Steinberg was the place to go. What I love about the place is the very clear and distinct pricing levels ranging from super affordable to John (who obviously is a legend in the hair space). I worked with Anelise, a more junior hair stylist but by no means did it meant less of a great hair experience. She did the most amazing colour job, a stunning haircut and was super friendly and fun. I got so many compliments on my hair and the best part was that it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I subsequently went there for a blow dry and again, a great experience. I think I have found my hair home. Which for me, is a big accomplishment.

Alicia, the junior stylist, is friendly and talented. She gave me great hair tips, such as explaining why rinsing your hair with cold water at the end of a shower makes your locks shinier and smoother, and gave me a great haircut to match my style and features. The cut and wash cost only $40 (before tax) and it was well-spent!
