Shady for used cares

They tried to sell us a used vehicle that they said had a “clean” accident history and offered to show us the CarProof to confirm it. However, they kept find excuses not to actually show us the paper, so we CarProofed it ourselves and saw it had been in two accidents. When we went to get out deposit back, the manager said they weren’t “legally” required to tell us because they were under $3000. I’d do my homework if I was dealing with them.
