Kom Jug Yuen is my go-to spot on Spadina for cheap and orgasmically-delicious Chinese food. And the best part is, it's open late- which means it's perfect for a dirty, delicious MSG-laden meal after a night of partying. Their BBQ pork fried rice and wonton soup are absolutely to-die-for. And yes, if you stand up when you pee you'll probably have to duck in that grungy, midget-sized bathroom, but if you ask me that just adds to the charm of the place.

World famous BBQ pork, on rice it's a meal for less that five bucks.They remember us every time and they are fast, warm and cheap. I think they've had all the same staff since I moved to Toronto in 1992.

Yes, the bathroom is gross, the window display is unappetizing, and the decor is dull. Survive those obstacles and the Holy Grail awaits, in the form of their BBQ pork. Owner Ping Yip sells his BBQ ducks to competing joints, who sell them as their own. A family fave for 30 years
