Kortright is very close by (5 minutes from Vaughan Mills) considering it protects over 325 hectares of woodlands along the Humber River Valley. They offer fantastic environmental workshops and programs for schools and families also. It's a beautiful palce to go for a walk, to take gorgeous fall pictures and make sure not to miss their special events including their maple syrup festival!

This is a good opportunity to get the whole family out in nature to enjoy great kids activities, good food and lots of spooky surprises. Get ready for spooky excitement. It's quiet and beautiful, esp in the spring as the trees are just starting to bud. Lots of hills too, which makes it all the more painful err ... difficult. :P
